If you have a complaint about a Catholic school you should first contact the principal.

If your complaint remains unresolved after discussion with the principal, then:

  • If your complaint relates to a diocesan school, you may wish to contact the Catholic Education Office responsible for the school.  You can find the details here.
  • If your complaint relates to a school run by religious institutes or other bodies, you may wish to contact the school’s Governing Body Chair. For information on the Governing Body visit the Non-State Schools Accreditation Board school finder, locate your school through the search box and click on Download School Details.

QCEC is the peak body for Queensland’s 22 Catholic School Authorities but does not own or operate any schools and so has no authority to undertake complaint investigations.

QCEC does have a role in assisting with communication relating to Catholic schools in Queensland and so if your complaint remains unresolved after taking the steps outlined above click here to send us information about your complaint.
