1. If you have a complaint about a Catholic school you should first contact the principal.

If your complaint remains unresolved after discussion with the principal, then:

  • If your complaint relates to a diocesan school, you may wish to contact the Catholic Education Office responsible for the school.  You can find the details here.
  • If your complaint relates to a school run by religious institutes or other bodies, you may wish to contact the school’s Governing Body Chair. For information on the Governing Body visit the Non-State Schools Accreditation Board school finder, locate your school through the search box and click on Download School Details.

QCEC is the peak body for Queensland’s 22 Catholic School Authorities but does not own or operate any schools and so has no authority to undertake complaint reviews/investigations about schools.

QCEC does have a role in assisting with communication relating to Catholic schools in Queensland, which is limited to referring complaints to the relevant contact point in Catholic school governing body.  If you would like assistance in this way, please  email qcec-complaints@qcec.catholic.edu.au

2. If your complaint relates to QCEC and its operations, please provide details of your complaint by emailing qcec-complaints@qcec.catholic.edu.au
