NAIDOC Week 7-14 July

NAIDOC Week is a time to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Many Catholic school students across Queensland will be celebrating NAIDOC week by joining local community celebrations during the school holidays and schools are planning celebrations and activities to take place when students return.

The theme of NAIDOC Week 2019 is Voice. Treaty. Truth. Let’s work together for a shared future.

The Queensland Catholic Education Commission and Queensland Catholic schools work together to enable Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students achieve their full learning potential, and to support them to continue to explore and share their culture, spirituality and connection to land, sea and waterways.
